Can there be a Universally best teacher? What suits one person might not suit another. Especially imagine a classroom where there are students with disabilities to students who are extremely smart.
Usually, the teachers target the middle range, thereby leaving the kids in the bottom to get extra help and the perfect scores go unchallenged.
For me, my best math teachers were my grade 7 and 10 teachers. They challenged me. But you know what that meant for the rest of the class? There were only 4 of us who passed! The rest failed.
I am really good with students who want to do well (irrespective of their mathematical capabilities). I’ve been able to motivate them to become high achievers. Even made them skip a year of math. I’ve made them work for 4 hours per day during the summer holidays and made them think it was fun. But will I be good with extremely stubborn kids who refuse to work? No idea.
