দ্বৈত শাসন:-দ্বৈত শাসন ব্যবস্থা ১৭৬৫ সালে লর্ড ক্লাইভ বাংলার নবাব থেকে দেওয়ানি সনদ প্রাপ্ত হলে যে শাসন প্রণালীর উদ্ভব হয়, তা ইতিহাসে দ্বৈত শাসন নামে পরিচিত। মীর জাফরের মৃত্যুর পর লর্ড ক্লাইভ ১৭৬৫ সালে মোগল সম্রাট দ্বিতীয় শাহ আলমের কাছ থেকে বাংলা, বিহার ও উড়িষ্যার দেওয়ানি লাভ করে।
