মায়হাব অর্থ:-মাযহাব (আরবি: مذهب) হল ইসলামী ফিকহ বা আইনশাস্ত্রের অন্তর্ভুক্ত এক একটি চর্চাকেন্দ্র। নবী মুহাম্মদ (স.)- এর ইসলাম প্রচারের পর আনুমানিক প্রায় দেড়শত বছরের মধ্যে অনেক মাযহাবের উৎপত্তি হয়। সাহাবাদের মধ্যেও অনেকেই নিজস্ব মাযহাব প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য কৃতিত্বের অধিকারী হয়ে আছেন।
