BPL 2020-2021 - BPL 8 - Bangladesh Premier League T20
Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is a professional T20 cricket league – founded by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in December 2012. It consists of seven franchises. The BPL brings more joys and entertainment in the town for Bangladeshi Cricket Fans. The match scheduled with a double round-robin format, playoffs, eliminator and qualifier to the final. Following the conclusion of the regular season, top four teams advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination game and two qualifier games culminating in the Championship game, between the winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.
The first BPL season was held during February 2012 and the last season, 2019–20 BPL season, also known as BPL 7, was the seventh season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in Bangladesh. In the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League i.e. BPL 7 which was held last year in December 2019, Rajshahi Royals won the BPL 2019 series by 21 runs against Khulna Tigers.
Bangladesh Premier League 2020 – 2021 is scheduled to start in December, 2020 and will go through January, 2021. The games scheduled to play three places, including Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Total 46 matches are scheduled, of which 44 games to play at the group stage and rest for the final stage of the tournament. This will be the eighth edition of BPL T20. Total of 7 BPL T20 teams will be playing in this tournament. The tournament scheduled in six different phases and in each stage, all the teams will have to complete their all matches at the particular ground. The final round of the tournament comprising elimination, qualifier, and last match of the competition is scheduled at National Stadium Dhaka.

Bangladesh Premier League 2020 – 2021 Venues (three venues):
- Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka with 28 games of the competition
This ground will host the first match of the tournament between Khulna Tigers vs Chattogram on December 12, 2020.
- Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong to host only 12 games of the tournament
The first match at this stadium is scheduled between Khulna Tigers and Rajshahi Royals on December 17, 2020.
- Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet to host six games of the tournament
This ground will host the match between Ranpur Rangers vs. Rajshahi Royals on January 02, 2021 as its first match in Sylhet. All games of the ground are scheduled at 1:20 local time and 06:30 local time for the first and second game respectively. The stadium will wrap up the tournament within just three days with two games each day.
